Our policy

  • Check In & Departure Time: Room check-in is from 14.00 to 19.00 on the day of arrival. Arrivals prior to & after this time are by prior agreement only. We do not have a manned reception so an estimated time of arrival is requested on booking to avoid any delay in gaining access to your room. To avoid disturbing other guests, we do not accept arrivals after 21.00. Rooms should be vacated by 10.00.am on the day of departure, though you can leave your Luggage to collect later if required.

  • Non Smoking: Bonny Brae Guest House is strictly a non-smoking establishment. Guests found to be smoking on the premises will be charged 65 for the deep cleaning as a result of this.

  • Children: We are unable to accommodate children under 7 years of age.

  • Pets: Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets

  • Parking: On street parking is available but not guaranteed and permits are issued on arrival.

  • Damages and Breakages: Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant and we may make an additional charge especially in the instance of us being unable to let the room due to damage. The credit/debit card details supplied are held to secure payment for any loss of keys, damage or breakages caused during your stay. We do not tolerate abusive / disruptive behaviour, if you are abusive / disruptive in any manor either towards staff or guests you will be asked to leave the property and will be charged the full amount.

  • Liability: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

  • Deposit: The first night stay is required to secure the booking, this is a non- refundable deposit. The full amount of the total cost of the stay becomes due on the day of arrival and is payable on or before departure. We always recommend some form of travel insurance to protect you in the event of cancellation. We accept all major credit cards but we do not accept American Express.

  • Cancellation Policy: In the event that the booking is cancelled with seven full days notice, then no further payment will be required, however if cancellation takes place less than seven full days from the commencement of the booking then the full cost of the booking will be charged, as will no shows which shall be deemed to be a full cancellation of your booking, therefore the room may no longer be available for you. In the unlikely event that we are forced to cancel your booking we will attempt to offer you equivalent accommodation. If suitable accommodation is not available then we will refund all monies already paid by you and confirm that you will not be liable for any further payments to us.
